Custom Design Process

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

I’m so happy you are interested in working together! After filling out the design inquiry form, we will have our initial meeting to discuss your project. I will reach out to you via email to set up a phone or Skype session. We will discuss your business, vision and goals for your brand and design. You are also free to ask any questions you may have for me. This will give us a chance to get to know each other and to ensure we are a good fit.

We will also review your project scope, timeline and pricing so we can make sure everyone’s on the same page.

2. BOOKING

If we are the perfect match, then the next step is booking and getting placed in the design queue. I will put together a formal proposal and if everything is approved by you, please sign, scan and return to me. You will also complete the first initial deposit payment which will secure your place (*please note that the deposit is non-refundable).

3. WHAT’S YOUR STYLE

Since there’s usually a wait time between booking and project start date, I will send you a questionnaire to complete prior to our upcoming project. This questionnaire will give me more insight and answer any questions so we are on the same page before starting. Please be specific because this will be valuable while we move along the design process.

I also ask that you create a private Pinterest board and invite me to it. You can pin all things that inspire your brand (it can be anything from colors, patterns, interiors, outfits, etc.) During this stage, it is also very important to get all of your content, photos, etc ready to share with me. If you are doing a web design with me, start getting familiar with the WordPress platform so you can feel comfortable using it when your site launches.

4. MOODBOARD INSPIRATION

Your project start date is here and this is where the design begins! The first step in the design process is creating a moodboard. After reviewing your branding questionnaire, along with inspiration Pinterest board, you will receive a moodboard within 10 business days and up to two rounds of revisions until you are in love with the design!

5. DESIGN CONCEPTS

Once the design direction is established and the moodboard is approved by you, the next step is the design concepts. The initial design process is thorough, so please allow 10-15 business days to develop the design concepts. During this phase you will receive a few different design variations, depending on the scope of the project. You will have the opportunity to review and request up to two rounds of revisions.

6. ADDITIONAL DESIGNS

If you’ve decided to do any other design, such as website, full branding suite, etc, this is the point where we would move forward in the process. You’ll have one round of revisions included, and anything beyond will be billed at the standard hourly rate of $60 per hour.

7. CELEBRATE THE FINISHED DESIGN

Showcase your new brand to the world! Do a dance, jump around, pop some bubbly, whatever you do to celebrate!
